CSS/HTML/JavaScript: What’s Possible?

Not being a coder of any sort, nor really a techie of any sort, I still wonder just how Palm’s webOS gambit will work out.

So I keep my eye out for things that illustrate the promise of webOS.

And tonight I came across Appcelerator’s Titanium.

I don’t know how applicable it is to what Palm is doing, but this video seems to offer a great deal of promise for what’s possible with the tools used to develop for webOS:

  1. Titanium looks great. I’ve got friends that are developing with Adobe Air right now. I love the fact that Titanium is an open source alternative. My only problem is that I can’t run it on my machine (an old PowerBook). Thanks for putting that out there though…I’ll be passing this info on to my people too.

  2. We released Titanium PR2 support yesterday. Would love to get your thoughts on the latest features like Linux support, our new Module API and support for scripting in Python and Ruby (in addition to Javascript).
